Note: Some designs with a 6/1 weave (which is considered advanced) can be made beginner or intermediate by substituting this weave with a 6-wire coil. The only thing to keep in mind when coiling multiple wires is to pinch them flat and flush against one another after ever few coils are added. While using a pair of nylon jaw pliers is recommended, it's not a requirement. You can, instead, wrap a soft, clean and dry cloth around the coil before pinching with a regular pair of flat nose pliers.

To complete these designs, you will need:

- Needle nose and flat nose pliers, wire cutters.
- Mill file, bench block, chasing hammer.
- Round dead soft wire in gauges 14, 20, 22, 24, 28.
- Half-round dead soft wire in gauges 14 and 20 (or 21).
- Open jump rings, 14 gauge and 10mm (outer diameter).
- Square half-hard wire in gauge 16.
- Cabochons in a variety of sizes.
- 8mm round beads.
- Ear wires.
