I like to think jewelry is a reflection of our creative spirit, our courage, even, or our reaching curiosity and unapologetic style. Not just a reflection of, but talisman to, our emotional and spiritual voice. Jewelry, for me, has always symbolized an avalanche of femininity, an exhale of expression which I sometimes would otherwise fail to embrace in all the aspects of my life. I've been teaching techniques and selling jewelry full time for five years now (though have been wire wrapping for nearly a decade), and rarely does a day go by when I am not actively working with wire and attempting to express that ethereal, untouchable voice in as tangible a way as possible. Though I sometimes find the process elusive, I always find it rewarding.
sharing what space we have, though my arts and crafts supplies seem to ebb and flow through each of the rooms as if riding its own wave of creativity.
I am a photographic hobbyist, in my spare time, and love to take photos of flowers in the last stages of life, or bees and critters when weather permits. For relaxation, I'll sit at my sink and photograph water droplets, which I found to be incredibly therapeutic. I also love pencil drawings and, occasionally, painting, though I'm not very good at either. I have had some poetry published in small anthologies and tend to favor contemporary verse, which borders on the self-indulgent and cliche, but somehow still soothes my inner angst.
